Viper FTP Overview

Viper FTP is a file transfer app for Mac from Naarak Studio, formerly known as ViaFTP. It connects to FTP, FTPS, SFTP, and WebDAV servers, along with Amazon S3, Google Drive, and Dropbox, plus one-way uploads to YouTube. Folder Observer watches a chosen local folder and pushes anything new straight to a remote destination without prompting. Server groups let a single upload go out to multiple servers at once. Files can be previewed, edited remotely in a preferred editor, or encrypted individually with AES-256 for extra protection. A Transfer Queue and History Log track active and past activity, and Bonjour scanning finds FTP servers already on the local network.

Supported macOS Versions

Viper FTP requires macOS 10.13 or later and is fully compatible with macOS Tahoe, running natively on Apple Silicon. How to Download and Install Viper FTP on Mac?

Viper FTP is also available on the Mac App Store. Installing the direct download version only takes a few steps.

1. Click the Download button above to securely download the setup file.
2. Open the downloaded .dmg file, then drag Viper FTP into your Applications folder.
3. Launch Viper FTP from Applications. If macOS shows an "unidentified developer" warning, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
4. Use the QuickConnect panel to enter a server's connection details and connect for the first time.

Viper FTP runs as a trial until a license is purchased and entered through the app's registration window.
